Political Theory. A History Of Political Thought. Political Science. It is beyond the scientific and empirical process.
Sometimes it becomes nearly systematic but not necessarily. Basically, cosmologies perform functions, help to tell story about ourselves and our relations to others, and to make nature and make sense of the existing chaos.
Politically theory is more about solving questions of human life through rational, logical and scientific ways with reasons. Theory provides space where reasons are offered, examined, 1 questioned, challenged, endorsed, rebutted, or mediated.
But cosmologies tie with context, multiple sources of authority and local culture. Ideology may not be disconnected from reason because theory can be used to form ideology. There is very less space for rationality in ideology because it's all about ideas which are based on reasons but having no logical components.
Ideologies are hardly connected to reasons. Theories are exploited as ideology through charisma without proper reasons. Somehow people try to show ideology is also based on reasons but actually ideology is theory without reasons or hiding reasons behind the theory. Though ideology is raised out of reasons or rationality, it goes beyond the reasons.
Many countries of the world say they are follower of democracy but in reality they do not practice the minimum democratic values. They manipulate the theory and only stick with the words and theory rather telling people how.
Many leaders first move beyond the reality converting political theory to ideology, and then they started to sell their ideology to motivate their followers. Advertising the ideology to manipulate its idea and use it on behalf of their self- interests, many political leaders sell their ideologies without giving proper reasons.
Use of ideology to misguide people from reality is called propaganda. Propaganda is not only disconnected the theory from reasons, but also using those idealized theory to use mass in support or oppose of certain interests. Hiding reasons from theory converts its empirical quality into ideology and using those ideologies to motivate mass to support or oppose certain ideologies makes propaganda.
Charisma and manipulation of ideas through lies are two basic elements used in propaganda selling. Marxism was propounded as a political theory in Germany in 19th century by Karl Marx.
The theory was established systematically analyzing the empirical data. It has well founded history and clear roadmap to achieve its goals. Karl Marx discussed about the class conflict between workers and owners of industries. The theory provided reasons for conflict and solution also.
Theory clearly defined conditions are suggested to solve the conflict between two different groups haves and have-not which are based on reasons and rationality. The systematic reflection, reason, rationality and empirical aspects of the Marxism establish it as one strong political theory of contemporary society.
There are very less industries in Nepal. Nepal is an agriculture based country. Instead of workers and owner conflict, solution for the conflict between farmers and landlords, issues of ethnic identity and equality are raised.
